William Walter McNulty's Obituary
William Walter McNulty, 68, of Clinton, passed away Friday, February 27, 2015 at his home. Memorial services will be 7:30 PM, Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the Clinton Chapel, Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. William was born February 24, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Edward and Betty (Owen) McNulty. He was a Clinton High School graduate and received his AA degree from Clinton Community College.
He was employed at Crescent Electric for more than 35 years.
Bill was very active with the Boy Scouts for more than 45 years; He had three troops, 70, 10 and troop 2. He was a member of the Order of the Arrow, receiving his Black Sash and he received Scouting’s highest award, the Silver Beaver. He was also a Vigil Member of Konepaka Ketiwa Lodge of the Scouting National Honor Society. He loved scouting; some of his greatest joys were helping kids go through the scout ranks, bomb fires with the kids and cooking on his cast iron skillet. He was a member of the Lions Club, active with Felix Adler Days, a member of the National Association of Rocketry and the NRA. He was an avid Beatles fan and loved music; he enjoyed reloading his own ammo and shooting his black powder guns. Spending time with his family and his friends at McDonald’s was a great joy to Bill. He loved his cat, Miss Kitty, very much and he will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Bill had a heart of gold!
Survivors include his brothers, Pat McNulty and Robert (Cheryl) McNulty, both of Clinton and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ronald Brumm and Michael McNulty.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
