Wesley D. Melchin, 62, of Clinton passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2024 at MercyOne - Clinton.

Wesley Dean Melchin was born July 31, 1962 in Kewanee, Illinois, the son of Richard and Florence (Stortz) Melchin. He was a 1980 graduate of Wethersfield High School and attended Black Hawk College in Moline. He retired from Union Pacific Railroad where he worked for many years as an Engineer.
He was an avid Chicago Cubs Fan and enjoyed model railroading.
He is survived by his sister: Cindy (David) VanLandegen of Rock Island, Illinois; niece Sarah (Richard) Shoop of Sunbury, Ohio; nephew: Luke (Amelia) VanLandegen of Rock Island, Illinois; great nieces and nephews: Dorothy, Monica, Louis, Josiah, David, Helena and Catherine; and many cousins and extended family.
Wesley was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church where Wesley was a member.
