I will always remember when he saved a little boy in the pool in 1974. I really admired him as a player and a person
I was a neighbor and friend during teenage years. Nice guy, nice family. God bless you all.
One of my favorite players of all time, loved watching Tom pitch.
But one of the best things Tom did was save a young man from drowning in a hotel pool in California. I’ll never forget reading that story.
