Thelma Halverson's Obituary
Thelma I. Halverson, 93, of Clinton died Friday, August 28, 2009 at the Alverno Health Care Facility in Clinton. Graveside services will be noon on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at Sorden Cemetery in Keswick, IA. Thelma Irene Halverson was born on December 1, 1915 in southern Iowa, the daugter of Sherman and Ruth (McKay) Moore. She is graduate of Keswick High School. She married Raymond O. Halverson on August 23, 1942 in rural Keswick, IA; he died on January 7, 2003. She was a homemaker, and had previously been employed with Clinton Community Schools. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Clinton. She is survived by one son, Don (Mary) Halverson, 1 grandson, Adam Halverson, 1 great grandson, 2 great granddaughters, and one sister, Lois Augustine. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church.
