I'm so sorry to hear about your mother's death. I really enjoyed working with her at CHS. We attended several parties together and she was always really a great and fun person. We also have a connection because you know my brother-in-law, Steve Sundberg who now lives in Grinnell where he is a doctor.

Thelma's family: I was saddened to learn of Thelma's passing. I truly feel fortunate to have had Thelma and Ray as my very good next door neighbors and friends for a great many years. I'll always fondly remember their kindness and caring. I'll always also remember Thelma's great sense of humor and hearty laugh. And of course the cookies and other treats she gave to me. And when they had the big garden feeling a bit overwhelmed at times, but definitely grateful, by all the things they kindly gave me from that(esp. the rasberries & strawberries). Thelma was a fine lady & will surely be missed. You have my sympathy in your loss and you are in my thoughts and prayers. jon

I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. She was such a dear friend of my mother's, Bessie Andrus, and they spent many wonderful hours crafting, chatting, eating each other's cooking and just enjoying one another's company. My mother and I had the joy of spending several Christmas Days with your parents and they were delightful times. Thelma and my mother came to DC on a couple of occasions to visit and the city and all it means were very special to her. Her smile and her enjoyment of things around her brought an energy to any gathering. Please know you are in my thoughts. Mary Andrus

I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. She was such a a wonderful woman and a such a great friend to my mother. My mother spoke fondly of her often. I will always remember how much she did for all of us when we were growing up and doing the sleepovers.
She will be forever missed.
May your grief at this current moment lead to a time of reflection and peace.
