Suella Forrest's Obituary
Suella Louise Forrest, 71, of Clinton, IA, died Sunday, September 21, 2008 at her home. Services will be held at First United Methodist on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at 10:00 AM. Visitation will be at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Burial will be at Springdale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bob Cassidy, Dr. Bob German, Denny Keesey, Jim Earnest, Joe Feth and Gerald Siefken.
Sue was born September 20, 1937, in Mediapolis, IA, the daughter of Thede and Marie (Hinrichsen) Boysen. She married Richard Forrest on December 16, 1956 at the Mediapolis, Iowa Methodist Church.
Sue was a homemaker and graduated from the A.I.C. Business College in Davenport. She had been employed with the Forrest Chiropractic Offices.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, P.E.O. Chapter JW, the Clinton Country Club, had been a member of the former Junior Women's Club, Newcomers and Clinton County Republican Women. She was a volunteer with the United Way and the American Cancer Society for many years. She was active with the Clinton Humane Society, was a supporting member of the YWCA and she was Elijah Buell's Picture Lady. Sue enjoyed bridge, playing golf and loved her time spent with family especially her granddaughters.
Survivors include her husband Dr. Richard P. Forrest of Clinton, IA; daughter, Amy (Steve) Struble; and son, Dr. Rick B. (Kathy) Forrest both of Clinton, IA; granddaughters, Kate and Abby; brother, Edlef Boysen of Mediapolis, IA and sister, Margaret Biggerstaff of Winfield, IA. Suella was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Albert; sisters, Dora Boysen and Ann Diehl and her dog, Callie.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Clinton Humane Society, Y W C A, Best Cellar Theater or to the First United Methodist Church.
In remembrance of Sue, Forrest Chiropractic Offices will be closed on Thursday.
