Steven Henschel's Obituary
Steven M. Henschel, 52, of Clinton died Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at Eagle Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Cremation rites have been accorded. Private services will be held at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Steven Mark Henschel was born on April 25, 1956 in La Crosse, WI, the son of Erwin and Joyce (Lowry) Henschel. He was a 1974 graduate of Clinton High School. He was employed for many years with Hy-Vee, and also Culligan. He was a volunteer for the Clinton Humane Society, and was a member of the Clinton Moose Lodge #363. He is survived by two sons: Curtis Henschel of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Chris Henschel of Cedar Falls, IA; his mother: Joyce Henschel of Clinton, and one brother: Warren Henschel of Dubuque, IA. He was preceded in death by his father Erwin “Bus” on December 25, 2005. Steven spent the last 6 months of his life at Eagle Point Nursing Home, where he became known and loved by the residents there. Stevens’s family would like to thank the staff at Eagle Point for their care, and a special thank you to his dear friend Bill Nitschke for all of his support.
