Steven Glew's Obituary
Steven J. "Sticky" Glew, 65, of Clinton died Friday, October 28, 2011 at Mercy Living Center North. Cremation rites have been accorded at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. A Celebration of Steve's Life will be held at Doyle's Tavern, Clinton, Iowa, on November 12, 2011 from 5:00-9:00pm. Steven John Glew was born on January 31, 1946 in Clinton, the son of John E. and Mardelle (Yopst) Glew. He was a 1964 graduate of Clinton High School. He was the Owner of Sticky's 2x4 from 1970 until 2000. He was active with the Clinton Baseball Club and was on the Board of Directors from 1980-1990. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye, Cubs, and Chicago Bears fan. He is survived by two sons: Ryan J. (Jacki) Glew of Evanston, IL and Shane (Rhonda) Glew of Clinton; one grandson: Tommy Glew of Evanston and one sister: Mary (Dave) Limke of Talorsville, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family would like to thank the staff at Mercy North, Eagle Point Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, The University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics and Wyndcrest (Mercy Living Center, North). Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
