Stephen Benson's Obituary
Stephen P. Benson, 57, of Fulton died Monday, September 5, 2011. Cremation rites have been accorded at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, September 10, 2011 at the Church of the Open Door. A visitation will be Saturday from 1:00pm until the service hour at the church. Stephen Paul Benson was born on August 28, 1954 in Clinton, the son of Paul and Martha (Berger) Benson. He was a graduate of Clinton High School and Scott Community Technical School. He owned and operated Benson Oil for many years, a company he started with his dad. He later was employed with Kelly Heating and Oil. He is survived by four sons: Stephen “Bud” Benson, Will Benson, Robert Molinary, Harold Benson and families; three sisters: Linda, Sharon, Mary and families, and loving friends and caretakers Gene and Brandy Gonyier. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Hope. Memorials may be made to the family.
