My deepest condolences to you and your family. I was so saddened to hear of Shannon's passing. I hadn't seen Shannon for quite some time, but every time I did run into him, it was so nice to catch up. He loved to share stories of his taxidermy which I knew nothing about and appreciated him telling me all about it. May he rest in peace. Prayers for comfort.

I am so sorry to hear of Shannon’s passing. I was his coordinator on the weekend at the University of Iowa Hospital. I enjoyed him on my crew, hard working and fun to be around. I will miss having Shannon around we had a long talk one day about family and friends, he was proud to tell me about everyone.
I remember Shannon's smile and pleasant attitude at Lyons Middle School. My sympathy to all his family.
I am shocked of Shannon's passing. Shannon was such a warm, kind and caring man. From riding on the country school bus as kids to reconnecting when my father passed. He was right there (at my dad’s house) as soon as he found out, almost before me (coming from Polo). We talked a lot about our dad’s friendship and the Masonic Temple. He was so excited to tell me that he was a Mason and trying to be the 1st deaf (a specific level in Iowa). I was so happy for him, so I decided to give him my dad’s pair of Masonic cuff links. He accepted them with a tear in his eye. Then I started bawling, next thing we were laughing at each other. He really helped me get through that hard time. Gone too soon. Shannon, you will be missed. Oh I am saddened to read this. Growing up just down the street and reuniting a few years ago as he did some taxiedermy work for Gary. To the Spooner family and all who loved him, I as so sorry for your loss and praying for God to comfort you. Gone way too soon. Cindy Mootz McDermott
