Scott Westbrook's Obituary
Scott L. Westbrook, of Grandview, Iowa, formerly of Clinton, died Thursday, March 13, 2008 the Lutheran Homes, Muscatine, Iowa.
Graveside Services will be 3:00pm, Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Oakland Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Andrew Westbrook, Bryan Kerling, Glen Gray, and Larry Gray. Visitation will be from 1:30pm until the service time at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory.
Scott Lewayne Westbrook was born on June 25, 1927 in Grandview, Iowa, the son of Fred and Gladys (Dickerson) Westbrook. He married Helen Hageman on August 27, 1949 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.
Scott was a 1945 graduate of Grandview High School, and later enlisted in the United States Marine Corps.
Scott moved to Clinton in 1960 and worked at DaMar Auto until 1970. He then started Mufflers, Inc on 6th Avenue South owning and operating it from 1970-1990.
Scott was a member of the Rock Island, Clinton, and Grandview Lions Club and also was a member of the Clinton Gyros Club.
Scott is survived by his wife: Helen of Grandview; one son: Daniel (Connie) Westbrook of Sherwood, Wisconsin, and two grandchildren: Andrew (Rachel) Westbrook of Neenah, Wisconsin, and Elizabeth (Bryan) Kerling of Manhattan, Kansas.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
The family requests that memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association.
