been most pleasant and satisfying.
She was always vivacious, attentive
and kind. She made her grandchildren
feel immportant and appreciated as she
gave her usual undivided attention to
each. She was an example to us about how we should be cheerful and live our extended years to the fullest. We will miss this charming lady.
Bless you Ruth for all the time you allow me to look at all the fabulous toys in your store when I was a kid, and never kicked me out.I will miss your smiling face when we would me at dinners some place in Clinton.God has really taken an angel home.God bless you Ruth
My grandmother was Irma Scribner Walters, wife of Russell Walters. My father is Russell Walters.
I remember visiting 'Aunt Ruth and Uncle Claude' in Clinton when I was very young. They let me and my brother, Tom Walters, pick out a toy to take home from their store. What a treat for a young kid!

My mother, Margaret Smith, and Ruth were very good friends. Your mother was so kind to take my mother for eye care, doctor visits, and to check on her during her final illness before she died. She was a very dear friend who showed her love in many ways to other people. Ruth will be greatly missed but I know she is celebrating with her Lord in heaven and once again united with her family and friends that she held so dear here on earth. Please accept our deepest sympathy on learning of her death. She shared so much with us whenever we visited Clinton about her son and family and you need to know she was so very proud of all of you and what you had accomplished. I am sure she is sharing all of that with my mother now. They had so many wonderful talks and shared so many great lunches.

My brother and I used to love going to Scribner's Hobby Shop as children. We would always find something special to take home. Mrs. Scribner was such a wonderful, friendly person. She even got to know us by name, which is something that is now a lost art.

The Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit of Mercy Medical Center in Clinton, sends our warmest sympathy to all of Ruth's family. We were privileged to have know Ruth during the time we cared for her in our unit. She was a very gracious lady and we truley enjoyed the interactions we shared with her. Thank you to her family, as well, for the expressions of graditude to the nurses, therapists, social workers and aides. Ruth was very lucky to have the love and support you provided her during the illness and rehabilitation process.
