Ruby Mattke's Obituary
Ruby Marie Mattke, 85, of Teeds Grove, Iowa died Tuesday, June 5, 2012 in Bellevue, Iowa. Services will be 10:00 am Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Faith Lutheran Church, Andover. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Friday, June 8, 2012 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be in the Andover Cemetery. Ruby was born March 15, 1927 in Teeds Grove, Iowa, the daughter of Edward and Henrietta (Huebner) Eggers. Ruby Marie Eggers married Earl Arthur Mattke on May 1, 1946 in Clinton; he passed away October 17, 1966. She was a graduate of Miles High School. Ruby was employed as a bookkeeper at Huebner's Garage, Teeds Grove. She also owned Mattke's Market in Teeds Grove and she was the head cook at the Miles School for many years. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church where she was very active, she was a hospice volunteer for several years and was a member of several card clubs. Survivors include her children, Steve Mattke of Teeds Grove and Karen (Jan) Bucks of Tarpon Springs, FL; grandchildren, Ryan Mattke, Matthew Bucks and Kathryn Lunetta; great granddaughters, Ava and Gabriell Mattke; brothers, Garnet Eggers of Miles and Russell (Janet) Eggers of Savanna, IL; sisters, Gloria Jepsen of Teeds Grove and Mary Siebels of Anamosa, IA. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Janell Mattke, her parents and her sister, Dolores Jaeckle. Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society.
