We are so sorry to learn of Tom’s death.
We knew Tom camping at Scott County Park. Hearing his story of hardship with his wife and mom in nursing homes and death of his beloved dog we offered our toy poodle, Charlie, to Tom. We loved Charlie but knew Tom needed him.
It anyone can help us find Charlie we’d appreciate it so much. We care deeply where Charlie is now that we know Tom died.
So sorry to hear that Tom has passed away. We met in December of 2021 in Chiefland Florida at Strawberry Fields For Rvers. We also stayed at Bald Eagle a couple of times. Tom, Mark and I and of course Charley too enjoyed many Happy Hours at Strawberry Fields together laughing and talking. Sure going to miss his laugh and all the fun we had. Charley was such a a special dog to Tom.

Tom and I were friends during high school. I have good memories of him as a great person who was a lot of fun. Recently, when I returned to Clinton, he made the effort to visit me and offer support and help in my relocation. I was truly surprised, after all these years, to hear from him. Regrettably, I was not home when he stopped by, but we had a lengthy and meaningful conversation over the phone. I truly appreciate his kind and thoughtful gesture of help and I will always remember the times we had together. He was a great guy.

He and I had a connection, you know. He had my Dad's horse Jay Halifa.

We just met Tom this past winter at Paradise Oaks RV Resort in Bushnell, Florida. We were his neighbors across the street and noticed he was having difficulty walking. So I offered to walk Charlie his dog. I loved taking him for walks since we lost our dog. I also took him to many of his doctor appointments until his surgery then took him to his followup appointment. During the drive, I got to know Tom a little better and was looking forward to seeing him again this winter. Well, God had other plans, may he rest in peace. Enjoyed our conversations and walks with Charlie. I sure miss both of them. Karen & Tom Cruse.
We met Tom as the host at Bald Eagle at Scott County Park he was a great guy, can’t believe he is gone way to soon, extending our sympathy to his family , and keeping him in our 🙏. Wayne & Debbie Steffen
We got to know Tom well over the years when he was the camp host at Bald Eagle in Scott County Park. We would stop at each other’s campsites to visit, swap stories of our wintering destinations. Tom always made us laugh. Camping at Bald Eagle will never be the same without Tom.
