C. Robert "Bob" Holste, 70, of Clinton, died Thursday, June 5, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center, North Campus, Clinton. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 9, 2008 at Saint Paul Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Cl Read Obituary

Bob was always so kind and so very pleasant to everyone he saw. I always enjoyed greeting him. He has endured so much in the past few years but was always cheerful. May you find comfort knowing he is no longer suffering and that God is encompassing you with his loving arms. Know also all of your friends are keeping you all in prayer.
I wish I could be there to help comfort you. I know well that this loss is too hard to bear at times. I wish I had known the King, but I know by his children what a remarkable and loving man he was! My heart to yours...

Bob I am so sorry that was last converation we spoke over the phone, now I wouldn't know if we ever talk again. It broke my heart.. I am glad to know you through your wife Donna and Now what would I do with out u , God bless you. I am glad u in heaven where u should be , and so You are wonderful christian friend I ever known I glad u treat her very much and a true blessing .
Dad,
I've never known a sweeter, more gentle, giving, and kinder person in my entire life. Your concern for others, over yourself, is a true Christian trait and I'm thankful that your suffering on this Earth is over. We miss you terribly but take some comfort in knowing that you are finally in a place of peace and eternal happiness. Please continue to watch over us all and give us guidance as we strive to make you proud by expressing the morals and values that you have worked so hard to instill in each and every one of us.

I am so sorry to hear this sad news. I know how much he meant to all of you and have all of you in my thoughts and prayers. He was an amazing grandfather and I know he will be deeply missed by everyone.

I miss you so much King. Things just aren't the same without you around. I wish you could come back to us. I wish you didn't have to leave us the way you did. My heart remains broken...even though I know you wouldn't want it that way. Hopefully time will heal. I'm thinking of you ALWAYS and love you very, very much. You were truly the best Dad ever!!!
