Robert Michael Finch's Obituary
Robert “Bob” Michael Finch, 71, of Clinton, Iowa passed away after a long battle with MS on Friday, November 3, 2017 at Mercy Living Center-North. A celebration of life for Bob will be held Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 4 to 7PM at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory.
Robert was born May 14, 1946 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Robert and Jennie (Popdan) Finch. He received his associate’s degree from Clinton Community College and attended the University of Iowa for two years.
Bob had been employed as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service and had been a longtime musician and entertainer, playing guitar with various bands. He loved his music, was a longtime CUBS fan, and a beautiful photographer.
Survivors include his sister, Kathy (Jerry Hines) Swanson of Morrison, IL; niece, Jenna (Brad) Weets of Morrison, IL; great niece and great nephew, Claire and Jeg Weets; Nephew, Joshua Swanson of Davenport, IA and great niece, Averie Swanson. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents and a great niece.
Memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
