Richard W. Reid, 88, of Clinton, passed away, Saturday, November 21, 2020 at MercyOne – Dubuque.
Private Services will be held. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Wernick, Cody Bingham, Kade Bingham, and Austin Nissen. Richard Wallace Reid was born on February 17, 1932 in Squantum, Massachusetts. He married Beverly Chafer on August 19, 1950 in Clinton; she passed away May 13, 2010.
Richard was an instrument/electrical supervisor at Quantum for 26 years; retiring in 1995. He loved scratch off lottery tickets, metal detecting, and watching all sports especially the Lumberkings and Cubs.
Richard is survived by three sons: Richard Reid of Camanche, Michael Reid of Moline, Illinois, and Jeffrey Reid of Clinton; one daughter: Becky Reid of Clinton; six grandchildren: Zachary (Beth) Peters, Amanda Peters, Tylere (Kaitlyn) Mueller, Courtney (Levi) Brose, Tawnya (Brian) Wernick, and Amanda (Cody) Bingham; six great-grandchildren: Austin and Bailee Nissen, Kade Bingham, Anna Clark, Tylere Mueller, Jr., and Ellie Schwegel; and one brother: William Reid of Clinton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers, and one sister.
