Richard Creecy Sr.'s Obituary
Richard Creecy, Sr., 62, of Clinton, passed away, January 18, 2018 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics – Iowa City.
Services will be 9:00 am, Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home.
Richard Creecy was born on April 21, 1955 in Clinton, the son of Charles and Joy (Hayton) Creecy.
Richard was an employee of the Clinton Community School District for 22 and half years.
Richard was a diehard St. Louis Cardinals Fan, a classic rock coinsurer enjoying Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, and Dire Straits. He enjoyed being outside especially running and walking, and also collected knifes.
Richard is survived by his children: Nicole Creecy of Clinton, Erin Creecy, of Clinton, Richard (Jen) Creecy, Jr., of Clinton and Rebecca Creecy of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, two grandchildren: Devin and Lillian Whitney, three brothers: Charles (Susan) Creecy of Parkview, Iowa, James Creecy of Kentucky, and Thomas (Elvira) Creecy of Clinton; one sister: Cheryl Smith of Clinton; nieces and nephews: Megan, Ian, Sarah, Ryann, Shania, Kristin, Kristopher and many great-nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother; Gary.
