Although it was about 35 years ago that I met Ray, I remember going to his house with Pam during our college years (82-84). He always made me feel welcome and always made us laugh. My deepest condolences to the Fiedler family. ~Ken Craig
the dearest sweetest man in this world. He and Joan shared so many memories with us I can't name them all. We so enjoyed them at our church Emanuel Lutheran and his whole family . We love and miss our friends at Emanuel so very very much. May God bless the whole family. None better in this world. Jane Dwight and Liz Webber.
RIP Uncle Ray. You will be dearly missed by many ..... watch over us and help guide us.. Love ya.. Angela H.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. He was such a great and memorable teacher. His goodbye at the end of the day had stuck with me over the years. "See you all tomorrow morning all bright eyed and bushy tailed".
I lived down the road in the log house and Mr. Fielder would give me a ride to school (Gateway). He was a great teacher! I’m so sorry for your loss.

To the Fiedler family: Jean and I extend our deepest sympathy at this sad time. I (Ed) have many memories of Ray and Joan. When I started teaching at Camanche the Fiedlers were supporters of the band program and founded the Camanche Band Boosters. It was great to have Ray, Jr. and Pam as students in the band program, namely percussion and saxophone.
Unfortunately we're unable to attend the visitation/funeral this coming Saturday. Our youngest grandson's birthday party is that weekend. It would of been a time of renewing friendships.
Joan, Ray Jr. and Pam, you'll be in our thoughts and prayers Friday and Sturday.

My deepest sympathies to your family. Mr. Fiedler was my teacher at Longfellow many years ago. He was one of the many excellent teachers I had who inspired me to be a teacher. I always remember him smiling and happy in class which I now know after being in the classroom for many years myself can be a challenge at times. He impacted many young lives in his career and I am one who deeply appreciates that today.
