Our deepest sympathy to the Maxine Jessen family. For the eighteen years we were next door neighbors,Maxine and Carl were like second parents to Susan and I and grandpa and grandma to our kids,Scott and Stacy. We moved in 1991 and unfortunately contact became less frequent over the years. At least there were always cards to exchange at Christmas and birthdays and an occasional visit to the house. Maxine never forgot us and we will never forget her. Susan, Scott, Stacy and I agree she was one of the finest, loving and caring people we have ever known. I have so many fond memories of Maxine.Everything from John & I playing in the black cinder alley as kids to many years later, taking my kids to trick & treat there. Maxine was always so happy and friendly. Surely Maxine & Carl are together in a better place now but they made our neighborhood a wonderful place to grow up back then and I'll always have wonderful thoughts of her bright smile.
