Mary "Lucy" Green, 95, of Camanche died Friday February 19,2010 at Mercy Medical Center. Memorial service will be at 2 pm Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation with f Read Obituary
I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Mrs. Green. She was my typing and shorthand teacher at Stanhope and was a great teacher. I know of no other teachers who were more liked and respected as Don and Mary Lucile Green were. Don Green was my basketball coach and they gave me many rides to the out of town games. They left an indelible mark on the lives of many students.
A very special teacher along with her husband Don. She was truly an inspiration to many of her students. I still recall with great fondness our senior class trip to South Dakota in 1957. They did enjoy travels and students. We always were so pleased when she could attend our alumni banquets each year. Many will miss her.
Mrs. Green was my high school teacher at Stanhope High School. She was a special lady and an inspiration to me as was Mr. Green. Many of us kept in touch with them through the years and we always enjoyed seeing them at our alumni banquets.
