Marie Kirchner's Obituary
Marie E. Kirchner, 57, of Davenport died Monday, December 13, 2010 at Genesis Hospital East in Davenport. Funeral Services will be 11 am, Saturday, December 18, 2010 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Eric Bormann, Justin Bormann, Gerald Rentz, Paul David Geerts, Mike Sedam, and Mark Geerts. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Marie Eliana Simms was born May 10, 1953 the daughter of William and Frances (McCray) Simms in Clinton, Iowa. She married Thomas Kirchner on May 14, 1977 is Estherville, Iowa. She was a homemaker. Marie is survived by 4 daughters: Melissa Simms of Eldridge, Iowa; Vickie Simms of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Jessica Duffey of Davenport, Iowa; and Angela Kirchner of Davenport, Iowa; 14 grandchildren; 2 sisters: Penny (Paul) Geerts of Elwood, Iowa and Charlan (Fred) Nolan of Sterling, Illinois; 2 brothers: John (Barb) McCroy of Maquoketa, Iowa and George (Daisy) Simms-Price of Livingston, Texas; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, 1 sister, and 1 brother. Memorials may be made to Toys for Tots and The Alzheimer’s Association.
