Marie E. Kirchner, 57, of Davenport died Monday, December 13, 2010 at Genesis Hospital East in Davenport. Funeral Services will be 11 am, Saturday, December 18, 2010 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory Read Obituary
Marie and I worked together for years, we became close friends talking on the phone whenever time allowed. Our conversations varied from serious to the not so serious. She was young at heart and she had a big heart. I know nothing can prepare you for the loss of someone you love and cared for. You all will be in my families thoughts and prayers and I am only a call away.

Marie and I were very very close I always looked up to her as my older sister, my special aunt, and since I lost my mom she was a mom to me also. We done alot together,over my lifetime, she was always there, even when she lived in Arizona, we talked every week on the phone. It's going to be hard for me now not to pick up the phone and call and talk to her , or find out whats going on in her life, or have her call me or go see her. My heart is broke!! So Mom & Dad please take care of her, she is with you now. I will take care of everyone down here!! Marie I am going to miss you more than words can explain. I Love You!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am deeply sorry for your loss! I remember when you still lived on 2nd Street in Clinton and I was invited to spend the night. Jessica and I worked together at Burger King as teenagers and double dated for Prom many years ago.

I do not know if any of your family remembers me but I sure remember Marie (and George). I want to say how sorry I am for your great loss! The summer of 2009, some of us friends got together for some "old friend" parties and we so wanted Marie to come. I believe she had planned to come to one of them and then something came up. Several of us who knew Marie were so dissapointed she could not come.I have some great memories of her and only wish our friendship could have been rekindled, if even for a short time.Many people come and go from our lives, some we remember, like Marie, some we don't but let this be a lesson,,,life seems too short and we should do all we can to let people know they are special.

My heart goes out to the family at this time of sadness. I have spent time with your family only to find how wonderful and welcoming they can be. I will always consider Angie a close friend, and having worked with both her and Jessica, I can only say I love you both and am holding you and your family close in my thoughts and prayers. I will always remember the times I spent with your family, smiling and laughing, not a care in the world.
