Margaret "Gigi" R. Hattan's Obituary
Margaret “Gigi” Hattan, 59, of Camanche passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at UnityPoint St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
Celebration of Life visitation will be 4:00 to 6:00 pm, Thursday, July 16, 2026 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory.
Margaret Renee Chandler was born December 9, 1966 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of James and Cecilia (Kohler) Chandler. She was a 1985 graduate of Camanche High School. She married Matthew Hattan on September 27, 1985 in Clinton, Iowa. Gigi worked at Burke’s Florist in Clinton and truly loved arranging flowers. She also worked for the Camanche School District as a cook and custodian. She enjoyed being outside, fishing and camping. She loved to cook but mostly she loved time spent with her family especially her grandchildren.
Gigi is survived by her husband Matthew Hattan of Camanche; three daughters: Brandy (Nick) Manrique of Dixon, Iowa, Casandra (Anthony) McCloy of Eldridge, Iowa and Allie Frederick of Clinton; seven grandchildren: Alexis and Zachary McCloy, Jasmine, Xavier and Rosalie Frederick and Matthew and Claire Manrique; and her pup Rocky.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Elizabeth Gilbert.
