Margaret “Gigi” Hattan, 59, of Camanche passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at UnityPoint St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Celebration of Life visitation will be 4:00 to 6:00 pm, Thursday, July 16, 2026 at the Camanche Chapel Read Obituary
We camped with Gigi's family. In addition to camping, I have many fond memories of being over at the Chandler's house and swimming in the pool. After I got married and moved out of the area, Gigi and I lost touch, but I will forever remember her as a great friend who always listened. Rest in peace my friend. You are with your family once again.

I broke my foot in gym class in 8th grade. The gym teachers could have cared less about how much pain i was in or how purple and swollen it was. Gigi never left my side. She helped me limp to the office and when i was not able to reach my parents she called her mom to come get me. Kay arrived, mad as a hornet at those gym teachers and she took me to the ER. Gigi and her mom stayed with me until my parents could get to the hospital. Rest in peace my friend. The world was a better place because you were here.
