What a wonderful friend she was to all of us Iliff girls and Bill Manikowski who worked with her for years. The twins Henry and August grew up around her, when they were little they would find their way up to her house. We loved Grace and Coogie and the girls. Our lives intertwined for two generations. Bless you all.

I remember when I was little, she came down to my house and my sister in law Penny colored Lu's hair black. Oh hearing laughter and the look of shock on my parent's faces.

I worked at International Paper for a time before starting graduate school and worked in the same department as Lou. She was so much fun and had the greatest laugh! Of all the people there with whom I worked, she is the one I remember the most vividly. My husband, Tim, also worked at IP and remembers her fondly. Deborah (Huizenga) and Tim Nier.
My, the many memories I have tucked away in my heart in the years I knew Lou at IP, Bonnie's Scenic, and of course, the Truck Stop. She was a bright, shining star in this World, and her laughter was one of a kind...Rest In Peace my Friend
