LeRoy W. “Mac” McDonald, 81, of Clinton, died Sunday, December 27, 2009 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa. Mass of the Christian Burial will be 10:30am, Thursday, December 31, 2009 at the Prince of Read Obituary
My most heartfelt prayers and sympathy are with you and your family at this very hard to swallow time.
It does not matter how young or old you. The pain and heartache are always there when we lose someone we love.
I did not know Mac but talked with
Vickie numerous times about her Dad and his suffering.
God Bless you all and never forget we will all be together again one day.

So sorry to hear about Roy.
This poem was sent to me from a dear friend when our Dad passed away. I would like to share it with you.
God saw he was getting tired
and a cure was not to be,
So he put his arms around him
and whispered 'Come with me'.
With tearful eyes
we watched him suffer
and slowly fade away.
Altho we loved him dearly
we could not make him stay
A golden heart stopped beating,
hard working hands to rest.
God broke our heats
to prove to us --

We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to your family. I don't know if you will remember us. Your Mom and Dad rented an apt. on 12th Ave. So. from MacKenzie's when Denny was little. Denny and I were playmates even though I was older. I still have a picture of us outside in the yard. When you lived on 9th St. we moved next door on the corner of 12th Ave. So. and So. 9th St. Mom is 94 now. I use to see your folks and then your Dad occasionally and we would reminisce. It is so hard to lose the ones we love. You are in our thoughts and prayers at this time of sorrow. I remember him as Roy. He will be missed by many. Take care.
