Laura Jean Ladehoff's Obituary
Laura Jean Ladehoff, 56, of DeWitt, passed away Friday, August 28, 2015 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House after a 2 year battle with breast cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Memorial Services will be 10:30am, Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00pm, Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at the funeral home.
Laura Jean Ladehoff was born on July 23, 1959 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur and Sandra (Fischlein) Ladehoff. She was a 1977 graduate of Clinton High School.
Laura was a co-owner in the family business, Clinton Decoy Company. Laura was a very empathetic and caring person. She was extraordinarily generous and loved animals, especially her cats: Gus, Grace, and Stella. Laura enjoyed music, sports, especially golf, sewing and was a collector of fabric. Laura’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her three nieces, Lindsay, Ellie and Annie, who she treated as if they were her own children. Laura was reliable and was a care giver of everything and everyone. She will be remembered for her kind soul, quick wit, and spunky spirit.
Laura is survived by her parents: Arthur and Sandra Ladehoff of DeWitt, her sister: Franci (Todd Jepsen) Ladehoff of Clinton, her brother: Greg (Mechelle) Ladehoff of DeWitt, and her three nieces: Lindsay Kahler and Ellie & Annie Ladehoff; and her life-long friends: Libby Paris Lystiuk and Becky Droste Moore.
