Larry D. Dolton's Obituary
Larry D. Dolton, 72, of Fulton, formerly of Clinton, passed away, Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at home.
Funeral Services will be 3:30 pm, Sunday, September 21, 2014 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Military honors will be conducted by the Clinton AMVETS. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00pm at the funeral home. A Rose Croix service will be conducted at 3:00 pm.
Larry Dean Dolton was born on April 7, 1942 in Ottumwa, Iowa, the son of Donald and Edna (Cremer) Dolton. He married Dianna R. White on June 28, 1966 in Rock Island, Illinois.
Larry was a veteran of the United States Army serving from 1959 to 1962.
Larry was an engineer with the Chicago Northwestern / Union Pacific Railroad for over 40 years retiring in 2010.
Larry was a member of the Lyons Masonic Lodge #93, Clinton Scottish Rite Bodies, KAABA Shrine, and past-president of Clinton High 12. He was a member of the Garden Plain Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder for many years.
Larry enjoyed being with his family and friends, coffee club with his fellow Mason brothers, NASCAR racing, and restoring and showing his vintage 1953 Ford Pickup Truck “Felicia”.
Larry is survived by his wife: Diane of Fulton, and one daughter: Adrienne Dolton of Tampa, Florida, and nieces and nephews.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, his son: Jason, and two brothers.
