Remembering my freshman roommate and the one who I taught to make gravy when we lived together in the apartment. Ken was a great guy. Sorry to hear of his passing. Our condolences to the family.
Mr. Kroemer was a very special part of my high school memories. He was the kind of teacher that we need today; fair and firm. He taught me to respect my school and the educators we had. I graduated in 1966 and he still influences my life to this day. My sincere condolences go out to his family.
Ken (still hard to say that instead of Mr. Kroemer) was a great educator. He was my drivers education teacher--we had quite a group and he obviously had nerves of steel. I remember him giving some clear directions to one of my fellow drivers who didn't slow down for a cow in the ditch so then the same driver slammed on the brakes for a chicken (on a gravel road!) I can still see the look on his face.
Sympathies to the family. He will be missed by many IV grads that he had such an impact on early in his career. We loved having him come back to class reunions too.
Kris:
I think of you often! I am so sorry to hear about your dad's passing! I will be thinking about you during this difficult time. Tom's dad passed away in January and it was hard, but it brought together relatives and friends we hadn't seen in many years and it was a wonderful celebration!
Lots of love from Michigan,
Tom and Bobbie Blackford
What comes to mind when I remember the man Ken we affectionately called Bulldog(never to his face)is a year after he went to coach Clinton he sent me letter before the football season encouraging me and wishing me well.He didn't have to do that but the tough coach had a big heart. I'm sure he will be greatly missed.
Ken was indeed a very good friend. We met in the insurance business at either meetings or insurance trips. As we both neared the end of our insurnace venues, Ken brought his son Mike into the busines, as well as I recruiting my son. There were many humorous encounters we had, that can never be forgotten. Sherill, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
I was so sorry to hear about your loss! Your family is in my thoughts and prayers!!!

Hey Kris -
So sorry to hear of your loss. Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. It is so hard when those we love most leave, but hold on to the many wonderful memories and adventures and think back with a smile. Take care - miss you and think of you often. Hugs -
We send our sympathy to your family. Ken has had a long an difficult struggle and now he has peace. I know that you have many wonderful memories to sustain you through this time. Ken and I were at ISTC (SCI) together and King used to "borrow" a bed from the athletes on weekends when he came up to see me. He was a super guy!
Sherril & Family,
We were saddened to hear of Ken's passing.
We have many fond memories of our time together at ISTC/State College of Iowa.
Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers at this time.
