Ken Kroemer, 71, of Clinton, died Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center, North Campus, Clinton. Funeral Services will be 10:30am, Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at the First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the Massilon C Read Obituary

Please accept our sincere condolences. It seems like yesterday that I looked across the huddle at that gentle giant who worked so hard at learning the game of football. He was a great teammate and an even better friend. Kenny, Sherill, and family; you are in our prayers.

Just wanted to pass on my condolences to you and your family. Ken was the coach that got me started in football and I will always be appreciative of that. It always met a lot to me that he came back for my HS graduation after he had left Iowa Valley for Clinton. He stayed in touch when I was at Iowa and eventually I was able to meet Michael when he attended Iowa. I am very sorry with Ken's passing but please know that he touched a lot of lives as he did with mine! I am serving as the Offensive Coordinator and QB coach at Kansas State University.
Ron Kleppe just sent the email about Ken's passing. I have meant to call different times but didn't pick up the phone to do it. I regret that now. I'll remember all the good times we had in high school. My favorite picture is when I celebrated by 16th birthday. You and Ken, Charlie & Sandy were there! Those were some good times. Also all the basketball games that he played, esp. the tournaments. You do have my sincerely sympathy at your loss.

I'm so sorry to hear about Ken's passing. Know that my heart goes out to all of you at this time. It seems like only yesterday i was a teenager living next to you and my mom babysitting... Life goes by way to fast as we all know.
You have wonderful memories and that is what you hold on to. Bless you all and also Ken. He will truly missed for sure.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Ken's passing. I got to know Ken when he was my boss at KCLN for a summer when I was home from college. After college, I always looked forward to visiting with Ken at the state wrestling tournament. Some great memories of time spent with Ken, Coach Lueders and Coach Smrcka at Sambetti's when the River Kings were competing at Vets Auditorium. Ken was truly a class act. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this most difficult time.
Sherril and family, some of my favorite memories are from my years at KCLN with Ken as our boss. He taught us many 'life lessons' along the way, for which I am still grateful. Please accept my very sincere condolences and be comforted in knowing he was a good and fair man who will be missed by so many.

Vickie and I are so sorry to hear about Ken's passing. As I read Ken's obituary it's obvious he lived a full life and positively impacted many people. Sorry we can't make it back for the funeral, but we'll be thinking of you. Take care.
Ken was not only a good athlete but a great guy. He was always a class act and one you could count on.
I have enjoyed seeing Ken at our UNI 50 year reunions talking and laughing about old times.
