I want to send my condolences and sympathy to you Lana and your family !

Julie was so kind and always had a smile for everyone. We were great friends way back in our High School Days! I remember spending many sleep overs at your house and always having fun. As we grew up and had our own lives and families it was always nice to run into Julie from time to time and catch up.We had so much fun in Our Day!! I will always remember the red Volkswagen bug. Julie would usually let me drive because I actually drove a stick better than her. In mid winter it would be freezing cold and there we were cruising the circuit on 50 cents worth of gas using the little fan on the dash trying to keep the window from fogging up between all the hot air from our laughter and conversations! Those were the days when we were young and care free, happy years I will never forget. RIP my dear friend.

in honor of Julie.

I have such fond dear memories of Julie and our wonderful friendship we shared. We had so much fun while in Junior High, High School, and years after when we were raising our kids. I still smile and laugh when I think of things we did. Julie's Mom was like having another girlfriend....she was so much fun too. I remember how she gave Julie and I slow gin and 7 up to try and then wouldn't us leave the house. We laughed and laughed!! Julie and I decided to try hitch hiking to see what it was like on our way to a dance at the Armory down on 6th Ave So. Big mistake! I hugged the door handle and she kept poking me in the side as we rode in the car that picked us up! Never again!! We could never go anywhere until she spent hours doing her hair to make it "just right". She stood up for me in my wedding and threw me a wedding shower. She was a very loving God Mother to my son Travis. AND amongst all her wonderful thoughtful ways she made, from scratch, a triple decker German Chocolate cake for my birthday. We shared days together at Eagle Point Park when Joshua and Travis were babies. Life went on and her family and nursing were the love of her life and we lost contact with each other. Thank you Lana for always updating me on Julie!! I have lost the best friend a person could have but I will always have such loving memories of her. God Bless and R.I.P my dear loving friend.

Julie and I spent the last six months together and were able to share our most personal struggles in the past five weeks. We shared the experience of being a nursing professional and a patient under the same umbrella. We shared the best of memories from years ago, reminisced on past leaders who inspired us, our desire to achieve the best that we could through our education. We also shared the difficulties and inequities that surface with illness. We hugged each other often and I am forever greatful to have her wisdom and understanding in my life. I love her dearly. ❤️DB
