Josephine Hansen's Obituary
Josephine “Josey” L. Hansen, 88, of Camanche died Sunday, October 2, 2011 at the Alverno Health Care Facility. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Friday, October 7, 2011 at St. Mark’s Methodist Church in Camanche. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00pm Thursday at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jess Hansen, Mike Cross, Chris Day, Rich Gillespie and Greg Alm. Josephine L Miller was born on September 23, 1923 in Camanche, the daughter of Edwin W. and Alta G. (Hugunin) Miller. She was a 1941 graduate of Clinton High School. She married Fred W. Hansen on April 12, 1947 in Hazelton, IA; he died on October 3, 2000. Josephine was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mark’s Methodist Church. She is survived by two sons: Jeff (Maureen) Hansen of Cedar Hill, TX and Steven Hansen of Parkersburg, WV; one daughter: Lori (Mark) Cross of Camanche; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, two sisters, one granddaughter and one great-grandson. Memorials may be made to St. Mark’s Methodist Church.
