Joseph A. Wenzl, Jr., 61, of Clinton, died, Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center, North Campus, Clinton.
Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be in the St. Irenaeus Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Wenzl, Jeff Keis, Rachael Wenzl, Kevin Williams, Michael Lueders, and Brian White. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00-8:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory.
Joseph Alois Wenzl, Jr. was born on December 2, 1947 in Rochester, Minnesota, the son of Joseph and Beatrice (Labrash) Wenzl. He married Diane Simmons on September 6, 1975 in Clinton, Iowa; she later died on November 23, 1990.
Joe was a 1965 graduate of White Bear Lake High School in White Bear Lake, Minnesota.
Joe had drove the school buses for the Clinton Community School District for 14 years before retiring in 2006.
Joe was a member of the St. Paul Scouts, Brass Inc., Jesse James Drum and Bugle Corps, and was a horn instructor for the Knee-High Drum and Bugle Corps. Joe is survived by one son: Christopher (Kristy) Wenzl of Clinton; two daughters: Victoria (Jeff) Keis of Clinton, and Rachael Wenzl of Clinton; and one granddaughter: Caitlynn Diane Keis.
In addition to his wife Joe is preceded in death by his parents, and one sister: Karen Wenzl.
