JoAnn M. Thielen, 759 West 46th Street, Davenport, Iowa, formerly of Clinton, Iowa, died Thursday, January 17, 2008 in Englewood, Colorado.
A service celebrating JoAnn?s life will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 24, 2008, at the Clinton Church of Christ, 210 North 13th Street, Clinton, Iowa, officiated by Alan Ahlgrim of Rocky Mountain Christian Church, Niwot, Colorado. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday January 23, 2008 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zoring Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Center Grove Cemetery, in rural Bryant, Iowa
JoAnn was born November 27, 1933, in Wyoming, Iowa, the daughter of Glenn and Dora Morehead. She married Gene N. Thielen on December 17, 1950.
JoAnn, a wife, homemaker and mother of twelve children, was deeply loved and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her husband, Gene Thielen, her daughters, Glenda (Bob) Hinman, Lansing, MI; Gayla Copeland, Longmont, CO; Amber (Mark) Gullett, Castle Rock, CO; and her sons, Rick (Judy) Thielen, Berthoud, CO; Joe (Paula) Thielen, Tigard, OR; Brian (Jeralynne) Thielen, Chenoa, IL; Jace (Jodie) Thielen, Smyrna, TN; Aron (Mary) Thielen, Gilroy, CA; Kert (Rose) Thielen, Castle Rock, CO; Bart (Judy) Thielen, Thousand Oaks, CA; Jared Thielen, Longmont, CO; and Casey (Tania) Thielen, Gilbert, AZ. She also is survived by 27 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Her parents, 4 grandchildren and a brother preceded her in death.
The family requests that memorial donations may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
