James Paysen's Obituary
James L. Paysen, 59, of Clinton, died Sunday, November 30, 2008 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial gathering will be held Friday, December 5, 2008 at 12:00pm at the Eagles Club in Clinton. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements. James Lee Paysen was born on January 10, 1949 in Clinton, the son of Alvin T. and Marion (Graves) Paysen. He was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School. He graduated from St. Benedictine College with a BA Degree in Accounting. For the past 15 years he was on the Board of Directors of the Clinton Lumberkings and served as the accountant for the Lumberking Organization. He was also a member, trustee, and secretary of the Eagles Club, Clinton. He enjoyed collecting model trains, and had a love of baseball. He will be sadly missed by both the Clinton Lumberking Organization and the Eagles Club of Clinton. He is survived by 3 brothers: Frederick P. Paysen of South Beloit, IL, Charles A. (Carlene) Paysen of Douglasville, GA, and Robert A. Paysen of Bethany, WV. He was preceded in death by his parents. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Eagles Club, Clinton.
