James Losinski's Obituary
James F. Losinski, 85, of Clinton, died October 28, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center, North Campus, Clinton.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be 10:30am, Saturday, November 10, 2007 at Prince of Peace Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be at a later date at Saint Mary?s Cemetery in Winona, Minnesota.
James Frank Losinski was born on February 10, 1922 in Winona, Minnesota, the son of Paul and Frances (Cisewski) Losinski. He married Ann V. Kotnour on May 8, 1948, in Winona, Minnesota; she died February 17, 2005.
Jim was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Navy on the USS Hamilton as a sea plane tender.
Jim was a carman with the Chicago Northwestern Railroad for 32 years. After retiring Jim enjoyed riding his motorcycle, flying radio-control air planes, woodworking and coin collecting. He was an active member of Sacred Heart Church (later Prince of Peace Parish) and was a 4th degree Knights of Columbus. He and his wife were foster parents for Catholic Charities in Winona, MN prior to their move to Clinton. He was a loving and supportive husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to those close to him.
Jim is survived by his daughter: Paul and her husband, Kevin Skonieczny of Freeport, Illinois; four grandchildren: John Skonieczny, Peter Skonieczny, Anna Skonieczny, and Paul Skonieczny; one brother: Robert Losinski of Green Bay, Wisconsin, one sister; Grace O?Gara of West St. Paul, Minnesota, and by many nieces and nephews.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sisters, and one brother.
The family requests that memorials be made to either the Knights of Columbus or the Prince of Peace Building Fund.
