My thoughts and Prayers are with each and every one of the Golinvaux family members. To John, Maureen, Ryan, and Jassica, I was saddened this morning to hear the news of your Brother/Father when John called me to share the news. I offer my heart-felt condolences to each of you, and know that Jim is looking down upon you all with pride and love from a much better place.

I am so very sorry to hear about Jim's passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. God be with you all, in this time of sorrow. He was an extraordinary gentleman! I have so many fond memories of our family get togethers so many years ago. He was kind, funny, caring and so very intelligent. My 1st job after working for my father was at the Famous Recipe. I have no doubt that he is up in Heaven watching over us all.
May he continue to be an inspiration to all of us. My personal wish is that he is up there trying to win the 50 yard dash he lost to my Dad some 45 years go. God Bless you Jim, you will be sorely missed by the thousands you've touched.
Jude,
We are so sorry to hear about Jim. We are out of town and are unable to attend his service but wanted to express our sympathy to you and your family. He was such an inspiration throughout his life and during all his trials and tribulations in the last several years. We just want you to know our thoughts and prayers are with you and your whole family at this time.

Jim was a good part of all the Straley's lives. Mom, Dad, Phil, Steve and all the spouses wish you comfort
through your sad time. I'm so glad that I got to give him a big hug at Kinnick last fall. Steve and Judy had the best time with him in Tucson. I'll be there
tommorrow, Jude. All our best.
Barry,
My sympathy to you and your family. I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your father. He was a great man and I am glad I was fortunate to meet him and get to know him. He will surely be missed but he will be with you everyday!! Thinking of you as you celebrate his life and memory these next couple of days.
We were very saddened to learn of Jim's passing. Jim was an OUTSTANDING Hawkeye. He was supportive in every way--always ready to help whenever he could.
I and the entire Hawkeye family will miss Jim but he will forever be in our memory for his unconditional support.
On Iowa Go Hawks---thank you Jim!!
Met Jim several yrs. ago when we lived in Camanche and enjoyed talking with him about his 2 brothers. Unfortunately learned of Jim' this date 10 June and wanted to express my deepest sympathies to both John and Jerry and their families. It has been a long time since Upper Iowa, but not that long that I can't remember those who I grew to be friends with back then.
Again, my sympathies to both John and Jerry on the loss of their brother.

You have our sympathy and condolences. Jim's dad, Vincent, and my dad, Ray, were 1st cousins. We were the only ones that left the "e" in Golinveaux. My dad died in 1939 at the age of 45 during a snow storm. Just a bit of background as to the connection.
God bless,
