Jacob Morhardt's Obituary
Jacob S. Morhardt, 20, of Rockford, formerly of Clinton, died Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, Davenport, Iowa. Funeral Services will be 10:30am, Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Michael C. Brewer officiating. Burial will be in the Lower York Cemetery, Thomson, Illinois. Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Morhardt, Jeremy Morhardt, Jared Morhardt, Derek McMahon, Rich Preston, and Chad James. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Scottie Elliott, Neil Grayum, Dusty Pogue, and B.W. Rogers. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00-8:00pm at the funeral home. Jacob Shane Morhardt was born on November 24, 1988 in Rockford, Illinois, the son of Rodney and Carrie (Bielema) Morhardt. Jacob loved drawing and sketching and his tattoos. He loved his daughter Alexis and his family dearly. Jacob is survived by his parents: Rodney and Carrie Morhardt of Clinton; one daughter: Alexis Morhardt of Gainesville, Florida; five brothers: Jeremy (Alicia Petersen) Morhardt of Clinton, Justin (Lisa) Morhardt of Clinton, Jared Morhardt of Clinton, Allix Morhardt of Clinton, and Dayton Morhardt of Clinton; four sisters: Christina (Rich) Preston, of Minnoka, Il, Amy (Derek) McMahon of Machesney Park, IL, Sierra Morhardt of Clinton, and Braxton Morhardt of Clinton; his maternal grandmother: Carol (Bruce) Rieck of Sabula, his paternal grandmother: Joyce Morhardt of Mt. Carroll, IL, his maternal great-grandmother: Ruby Johnson of Clinton’ and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jacob was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather: Robert Bielema, his paternal grandfather: Carlos Morhardt, maternal great-grandfather: Squire Johnson. Memorials can be made to the family.
