I was a close friend to Jake and will miss him very much. He stayed with me and my husband for a while and was the most loving person ever. He will be remembered always. Our prayers are with the family.

I just didn't believe it when I was told. I had to make sure we were both talking about the same person. I knew Jake had been in trouble before but I thought he was finally getting his priorities straight and becoming the young man you had always expected him to be. I am so sorry to hear that he is gone. Just know that he is now watching over you and he will keep all of you as safe as he can until it is your time to be with him. Hey, he is now hanging out with Gmpa Morhardt! If he gets into any trouble up there Gmpa will set him straight! Hugs and prayers to help you all get through this trying time. It seems like such a short time ago that Jacob and his little family were in my office. He was trying so hard to be the man of the family, even though he was so young. May the Lord of heaven and earth hold you all close as you grieve the loss of your Jacob.
