I too had to read about Iva's passing in the paper. I have know Iva since I was a little kid. Lyman and Iva were very dear friends of my parents. After Lyman's passing Iva, some years later, married my grandfather. My mother always said that Iva fit in well and she was so happy that if her father remarried it was to someone like Iva. I will always have fond memories of Iva. My deepest condolences to her children Steve and Dixie.

Dixie and Steve,
My sincere condolences to your families.
I have lots of fond memories of Iva and Lyman while I was growing up, especially when they would play cards with my parents (John and Sharon Levis). After Lyman passed away and later Iva married my grandfather I know my mom was pleased to have her as part of the family as she fit in well. Sorry to say I lost contact after Iva moved back to Clinton but have thought of her often with lots of smiles. You both are in my thoughts and prayers through this time of sadness.
Dixie, I can still see you and my dad singing and playing together in church and on other occasions.
God's Peace and Blessings

What a joy and blessing Iva was when she entered our family by marrying Grandfather Wiker!
She was such a loving woman to my mom, my dad, myself, my husband and my daughters, Kirstin and Jenny. We couldn't have loved her more.
I always enjoyed her letters and words of encouragement. We all share in your sorrow and sadness at this time.
I hope that you will find comfort knowing how many lives that she touched and how she was loved.
Dixie and Steve, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your families during this time of need. I kindly remember Iva as a person who had touched so many lives. She opened her heart and home to family and friends. As a child i had always considered Iva and Lyman as another set of grandparents. So the day she married my grandfather my family was very elated knowing that Iva was now a part of our family. My mother (Sharon Wiker Levis) would say that she couldn't be anymore happier for the choice my grandpa had made for a wife. There was no getting used to adding Iva into our family because she had already been part of our family since i was a little girl. The many times when Iva and i would talk or during my visits with her, she would talk of my parents, Lyman and my grandpa and she would say that times were so different back then and how she missed the get togethers they would have. I especially remember the times when my family would go out to Iva and Lymans' farm so Iva, Lyman, my mom and dad (John Levis Jr.) could play cards late into the night. They would often end the evening with Dixie and my dad singing and playing the guitar. I often too miss those past times. I was and still am very proud to be her stepgrandaughter. Now since you have been called home may you rest in peace.
You will be missed but we will meet again some by day.
