Isabel Hood's Obituary
Isabel A. Hood, 77, of Clinton, died Friday, July 4, 2008 at Wyndcrest Nursing Home, Clinton. Mass of the Christian Burial will be 10:30am, Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at the Prince of Peace Parish Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be Fulton Calvary Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Cody Cooper, Ryan Cooper, Neal Howard, Bryan Schulz, Rob Purcell, and Justin Holle. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00-7:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Isabel Ann Chamberlain was born on January 22, 1931 in Erie, Illinois, the daughter of George and Rosella (O’Neil) Chamberlain. She married Frank B. Holle on January 21, 1950 in Clinton; he died in 1976. She later married Milton Hood on February 22, 1983; he later died on June 14, 1990. Isabel was a 1949 graduate of the Mt. Saint Clare Academy. She was a bartender/waitress at the VFW for over 15 years; retiring in 1983. Isabel was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish. Isabel is survived by a son: Brian (Julie) Holle of Phoenix, Arizona; three daughters: Penny (George) Dryden of Camanche, Diane (Bob) Purcell of Cottage Grove, Minnesota, and Julie (Steve) Cooper of Ankeny, Iowa; eight grandchildren: Amy (Neal) Howard, Mindy (Bryan) Schulz, Cody Cooper, Ryan Cooper, Reyna Purcell, Rob Purcell, Justin Holle, and Jennifer Holle; five great-grandchildren: Cole Howard, Piper Howard, Skylar Schulz, Kody Purcell, and Payton Purcell; one brother: Gene (Dorothy) Chamberlain of Albany, Illinois, two sisters: Lorraine VerKruysse of Iowa City, Iowa, and Dorothy Schroeder of Davenport, Iowa. Isabel was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, and three brothers Memorials can be made to the family.
