I am thankful for all the times when we were children being invited to Aunt Isabel's for Thanksgiving. She made the best turkey dressing/stuffing and I learned to make it from her. Now her dressing is famous in Tulsa, especially with my son in law.
I remember spending the night one time with Aunt Isabel and family while my parents were out of town. While I wsa taking a nap some of the walllpaper in her bedroom "accidentally" came off in my hands. I had a terrible time convincing her that someone else did it. Aunt Isabel and I laughed about that for years. But it sure wasn't funny at the time.
I remember how grateful we were when Isabel and Frank gave us rides in the car to places we needed to go when we didn't have a car.
I remember when my husband was playing in the band in Clinton and Aunt Isabel would come to hear the band and my husband, Tom, would have to play "Your Cheating Heart" for her.
Sorry that I couldn't be there for the funeral, but we love your family. Let's get together and have a Chamberlain reunion. Gail and I talked about it several years ago, but never did anything. I know Theresa and Michele talked about it at the wake. Let's not lose contact.
Love,
Your cousin
