Helen J. Walker, 89, of Clinton, died Friday, December 10, 2010 at Mercy Hospital in Clinton. Funeral Services will be 11am Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be in Read Obituary

Our hearts are so heavy over the loss of Helen,she was the matriarch of South Clinton and a special friend to us.
She will be soooo very missed.I hope the memories of this wonderful woman comfort you all.Hugs to you all!

Helen Walker & South Clinton were one. I can still hear her voice calling one of the kids home & telling anothers child to get on home their mom was looking for them or keeping a few at the dinner table just because they were there & needed feeding. It always set your world right & make you smile. Helen had a tender heart & a way of knowing just how you felt as she comforted you with her wise words. I am blessed to have been her friend.
She will be forever missed and always remembered. Their will never be another lady like Helen Walker.
May she rest in peace with her husband Bob.
There are many good things that I can say about Helen...She was kind, loving, and a great person to be around...She would do anything for her family...Even though she is gone, and she will be missed, she will never be forgotten!! My condolences to all of the family..
I am sorry that I won't be able to attend the visitation or fureral because with my disability it is very hard for me to get around in this cold weather. I have been coming to Walker's ever since I was a kid with my dad. I will never forget all of the good times I 've had at Walker's. Both your dad and mother have always been very good to me. I've watched all of you kids grow up and consider all of you to be my friend even though I don't see any of you very often.

I was so sorry to hear of Helen's passing. She was a wonderful lady. Everyone on the block knew Helen and she was always so nice to us kids. My deepest sympathy to the entire Walker family.
With our sincere condolences to the entire Walker family. Helen was the salt of the earth. You were all blessed to have such a strong and wonderful Mother.

Ok now as you kids know, this is a hard thing to go thru, losing a parent. Your Mom as well as mine was the best of the best!!! So glad we came and seen her in June, she was the same ol' Helen!! Of all the times her and Bill went to auctions to find treasures (junk) to her just being a great lady that would do anything for you and she has to us a few times, we cannot express our symphony to you all enough. We were going to make the trip up there but 500 miles in a snowstorm is a little much. She would be saying to us "What are you guys doing"!!!!!! So Helen if you would serve my dad and sister Cindy another beer and my mom a whiskey and coke, I'm sure they would love that!
We were so sad to hear of Helen's passing. She was a neat lady and I always enjoyed out visits at Walkers tavern. Wish we were able to get to the service.
