Helen L. Drury's Obituary
Helen L. Drury, 95, of Clinton, passed away, Sunday, October 5, 2025 at MercyOne – Clinton.
Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Zion Lutheran Church – Clinton. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30am to the service time at the church on Thursday. The Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory is assisting the family.
Helen Louise Klauser was born on February 10, 1930 in Maquoketa, Iowa the daughter of Arthur and Lettie (Due Mong) Klauser. She was a 1947 graduate of Maquoketa High School. She married Arlo Drury on September 1, 1957 in Maquoketa; he preceded her in death on November 11, 2014.
Helen was employed as deputy auditor in Maquoketa, in the cafeteria for the Clinton Schools and in the Clinton Clerks Office where she retired from. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and former member of Chancy Lutheran and First Baptist Church in Maquoketa. She enjoyed sewing and quilting.
Helen is survived by her daughter: Brenda Sue (Danny Houzenga) Drury of Fulton, Illinois, five sons: Tim Drury of Camanche, Daniel (Ruth) Drury of Inverness, Illinois, Douglas (Julie) Drury of Eldridge, Iowa, Gary David Drury of Chicago, Illinois, and Randall (Joan) Drury of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin; 7 grandchildren 10 great-grandchildren and a special friend in faith: Debbie Kaszinski of Clinton. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, one brother, and a daughter-in-law: Johnna “Johnnie” Drury.
Memorials can be made to Zion Lutheran Church.
