To my wonderful friend David and his family:
When our parents leave this world 💔 life changes in ways we can never truly prepare for.
No matter how old we are, in their eyes we were always their children. Their hugs could make the hardest day softer. Their words of encouragement could lift us higher than we thought possible. And their love — that protective, unconditional love — made the world feel safe.
When they are gone, that safety net disappears. Suddenly we are reminded that deep inside, no matter our age, there still lives a child who longs for the comfort of a parent’s embrace. We find ourselves reaching for them in moments of weakness, only to realize we cannot run into their arms anymore.
It does not matter if you have built your own family or carried many responsibilities in life, the memory of your parents remains etched forever in your heart. Their faces, their voices, their love — eternal and irreplaceable.
Losing them makes us orphans, and that is one of life’s hardest truths. Yet even in their absence, the love they gave us continues to guide us, shaping the way we love others. That love never really dies. 🌹
