Dr. Lauz was my pediatrician from 30+ years ago. I know for a fact that my comfort with doctors offices began with Dr. Lauz, as he was such a caring, sweet individual. I can still see him coming in the room, glasses on the edge of his nose, lilt in his voice, looking down at my chart. And after doctor stuff was dispensed, he never failed to really stop, look and genuinely smile at me before he left. So often as a sick child you feel like the third person in the room as adults make decisions about and for you. But I always knew that Dr. Lauz would speak to ME about what was going on with me. And I saw him a LOT. :-) My mother who still volunteers at the hospital says he never failed to ask about me whenever they met. What a genuinely fabulous individual whose loss will certainly be felt by many, including me.

As a child I remember seeing Dr. Lauz at Bluff Medical, and the safety suckers that you received for being a good patient. When I had children of my own, there was no doubt who their peditrician would be. I trusted Dr. Lauz completely with my childrens lives. He was an excellent physician with a terrific bedside manner, that I now will miss so much. I will always remember how he referred to my daughter as his "little Diana Ross." My children were devastated to hear that they would no longer see Dr. Lauz. I remind them that he is still here, watching over them from above. He will be forever missed, but never forgotten.

Greg will truly be missed. I was so fortunate to have known him through our activities with the Gateway Contemporary Ballet and Prince of Peace Parish. He was a good man - son, brother, doctor, friend.

Thank you Dr. Lauz for taking care of me as a child and for taking care of our three children. You were such a kind hearted man and great with all children. We will miss you kissing our children's fingers as you came into the room saying "Hello Joshua, how are you today" in your distinct voice. One of my favorite expressions I ever heard you say, that now my husband and I say frequently is that "We will play it by the ears". You made us and many others smile. You will be sorely missed as you are not replaceable. Thank you and rest in peace.

Being in the health care field, I have worked side by side with Dr. Lauz for many years. He was always loving and caring to his patients as if they were his own. When our son was born, I did not have question who would be his pediatrician. We felt so blessed to have Mitchell under his care. Mitchell has astthma and Dr. Lauz helped us keep things under control. We felt we worked at this as a team. He will be sorely missed by his co-workers, patients and the families and friends.

Dr. Lauz was not only a great doc. but also a great person, he was a friend of the family for many years. I just found out tonight that he passed away if i new sooner i could of made plans and came to the funeral. He will be missed now my mom and him our together and hope they find each other in heaven. R.I.P

As pediatrician for our three children that are now grown, he was the "best" and will be dearly missed!
