Our condolences and deepest sympathies to your family.
Thank you Mr. Johnson for your military service.
You and your family has our deepest sympathy. Our thoughts are with you all.
REMEMBER WHEN FROM YOUR BEST FRIEND
REMEMBER WHEN WE WERE JUST KIDS
AND WE KNEW WE WOULD LIVE FOREVER
REMEMBER THE THINGS WE DID
THOSE THINGS WE THOUGHT WERE CLEVER.
REMEMBER WHEN WE HAD TO LEAVE
STILL TEENAGERS TURNING TWENTY
AND LATER OFF TO VIETNAM
AND BACK, TO OUR LAND OF PLENTY.
REMEMBER WHEN YOU LEFT HOME AGAIN
WE SAW EACH OTHER TIME TO TIME
THINGS WEREN’T THE SAME ANYMORE
BUT OUR FRIENDSHIP STILL SURVIVED.
REMEMBER WHEN YOU CAME BACK HOME
THIS TIME TO STAY FOR GOOD
WE WERE TOGETHER ALL THE TIME, IT SEEMED
AND I THANK GOD, FOR HE UNDERSTOOD.
NOW YOUR GOING HOME AGAIN
THIS TIME TO A MUCH GRANDER PLACE
AND WHEN YOU GET THERE, YOU TELL THEM
FROM YOUR BEST FRIEND,
REMEMBER WHEN, REMEMBER WHEN.
You and your family are in our prayers and thoughts during this sad time.
Dad, not a day goes by that I am not thinking about you and missing you. I know you had a lot of plans to travel with mom, and I hurts me that you can't do that, but I know you are in a better place now. At least now you can hang out with grandpa J and the rest of the family who got the call to come home.
You will forever be my hero.
Love you!
