Elaine Papagni's Obituary
Elaine H. Papagni, 88, of Camanche passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at MercyOne - Clinton.
Graveside services will be held privately at Center Grove Cemetery with a celebration of life on Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 12:00 (noon) - 3:00 pm at the Moose Club in Clinton. Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
Elaine Hattie Gluesing was born June 13, 1934 in Goose Lake, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Hattie (Martensen) Gluesing. She was a graduate of Elvira High School. She married Vincent Papagni in Fresno, California; he preceded her in death in 2007.
Elaine worked for Champion/Dairy Pak for 32 years in the accounting department; retiring in 2001. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Clinton and a past member of the church's Ladies Aide.
She is survived by her four children: Tony Papagni of Mineola, Texas, Diane Scudder of Fulton, Illinois, Maurice Papagni of Mineola, Texas and Angela Papagni of Camanche; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sister-in-law Janice Gluesing; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons: Vincent Papagni, Jr. and Dennis Huff; two brothers and one sister.
