Growing up in this neighborhood of Camanche was so wonderful. As a child I remember " Mr. Jensen " ( I would not be caught calling anyone's parents by their first name ) as being such a kind and gentle person. I, too, remember him sitting on the front steps of his house talking to his kids and any other neighborhood kids who happened to be around. Sweet memories of a wonderful father and neighbor. So sorry for your loss...
Every New Year Dexter would bring in the new year with a loud boom! I watched him mow his lawn, swing his golf clubs and sit and talk with Ben and myself. He would always check on us kids when we camped out in the back yard. We were proud that he was a member of the City Counsel.
