Dennis E. Thompson, 46, of Camanche, passed away, August 3, 2016 at his home.
Services are pending. The Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory is assisting the family.
Dennis Earl Thompson was born on February 7, 1970 in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Alvin and Elva (Hellweg) Thompson. He was a 1988 graduate of Camanche High School and attended Iowa State University.
Dennis had been employed with Lyondel for 15 years.
Dennis enjoyed spending time on the river, working on his cars and trucks, and bowling.
Dennis is survived by his parents: Alvin and Elva Thompson of Camanche; his brother: Randy Thompson of Camanche; his sister: Lori (Larry) Pendleton of Camanche; five nieces, one nephew, many great nieces and great nephews and his beloved dog: Mavis. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
